Terms of Service

Hey, thanks for checking out Achromatic Forge. I built this as a solo developer because I love sci-fi worldbuilding and wanted better tools for it. By signing up or buying a bundle, you're agreeing to these terms. If any of this doesn't work for you, that's okay. Just don't use the service.

1. What This Is

Achromatic Forge is a sci-fi worldbuilding tool and it's currently in beta. That means things might break, features might change, and stuff might not work perfectly yet. I do my best to keep everything running smoothly and your data safe, but I can't make guarantees. You're using this at your own risk.

2. Your Account

You must be at least 16 years old to use Achromatic Forge. You sign in with Discord or Google. Keep your account secure and don't share it. Don't use Achromatic Forge for anything illegal or harmful.

3. Bundles & Payments

• Paid bundles give you lifetime access, meaning for as long as Achromatic Forge is running. "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the service, not forever no matter what.
• All prices are in euros (EUR) and include VAT where applicable.
• All prices are one-time. If you upgrade, you only pay the difference between what your current bundle is worth and the new one.
• Payments go through Mollie. I never see or store your card details.

4. Refunds

All purchases are final. I don't offer refunds.

When you buy a bundle you get instant access to everything in it, so there's no way to "return" it. If you file a chargeback or payment dispute through your bank, your account will be permanently banned and you'll lose access to all paid features.

5. Right of Withdrawal

Under EU law, consumers normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from online purchases. However, because Achromatic Forge bundles are digital content delivered immediately upon purchase, you explicitly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once access is granted. You confirm this during checkout before completing your purchase.

6. Bans & Account Termination

I can suspend or permanently ban your account if you:

• Break these terms.
• File a chargeback (see above).
• Are abusive, harmful, or do anything illegal on the platform.
• Try to exploit or mess with the service.

If your account gets banned, you're not entitled to a refund. I may offer a data export before termination if circumstances allow it.

7. Your Stuff

Everything you create on Achromatic Forge (planets, solar systems, stellar maps, descriptions, all of it) belongs to you. I don't claim any ownership over your content.

I only access your content to make the service work (rendering, backups, moderation if needed).

8. Availability

The service is provided "as is". I might need to change things, take the site down for maintenance, or in the worst case shut it down entirely. If I ever do shut down for good, I'll give at least 30 days notice and try to offer a way to export your data.

9. Liability

I'm one person building this in my spare time. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any indirect damages, lost data, or anything like that from using the service. The most I could ever owe you is what you paid for your bundle.

10. It's a Beta

Just to be extra clear: this is beta software. Bugs happen, things might break, and data loss is possible (though I try hard to prevent it). By using it now you're accepting those risks. I genuinely appreciate early supporters, so if you run into problems, let me know through the contact page.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be handled by the competent court in the Netherlands.

12. Changes

I might update these terms as the project grows. If I make big changes I'll do my best to let you know (newsletter, in-app notice, etc.). Continuing to use Achromatic Forge after changes means you accept the updated terms.
